The Girls Would Turn the Color of an Avocado

Irritating things: whenever I hear the name of former Brewer/Phillie Sixto Lezcano (not that often), my brain takes it and starts an ongoing loop of the Modern Lovers' "Pablo Picasso," substituting in "Sixto Lezcano." It does this with Cesar Cedeno, too, but it doesn't last as long.

I'm nearly on hour 24 of "Sixto Lezcano was never called an asshole." At least it's better than "Raising McCain."

Even worse-- there's a great band from Chicago called Sixto.

And, by the way, Sixto Lexcano really never was called an asshole. That was reserved for Lenn Sakata.

Lenn Sakata!! Man, there's someone I haven't thought about in years... and now my day will be consumed by wondering whatever happened to him.

(or not: he's a minor league manager in Japan and owns a chain of grocery stores in the Fresno area, according to Wikipedia.)

I'll have to check out Sixto (band, not Lezcano) now.

Here's a head start:

Sixto, "The Naughty Mime"

Check out Built on A Weak Spot blog, he did a post on them recently.

That Sixto stuff sounds great. I'm a bit put off that the Built on a Weak Spot post somehow fails to mention Sixto Lezcano, who never got called an asshole, but nonetheless I'll track down that album when I'm a little more sober.
